Chasing Stars in Joshua Tree

Chasing Stars in Joshua Tree

A few days ago, I packed up the car and headed to Joshua Tree National Park for a quick escape from everyday life.

I knew the desert would be beautiful, but I wasn’t prepared for just how much inspiration I’d find there.

During the day, I spent hours driving through winding roads, surrounded by giant rock formations, Joshua trees, and endless open space. The landscape felt completely different from anywhere else—wild, quiet, and full of character. Everywhere I looked, there were interesting textures, soft earth tones, and shapes that looked like they belonged in a painting.

At night, the park transformed.

As the sun disappeared, the sky slowly filled with stars. Standing in the middle of the desert, looking up at the Milky Way, I felt both incredibly small and completely at peace. It was one of those moments that makes you put your phone down and simply enjoy where you are.

Since coming home, I’ve found myself thinking about that trip constantly. The colors of the desert, the contrast between the bright daytime sky and the deep black night, and the quiet beauty of the landscape have already started influencing some of my design ideas.

Travel has always been one of my biggest sources of inspiration, and Joshua Tree was a reminder that creativity often shows up when you step away from your routine and explore somewhere new.

For now, I’m back at my desk—but a little piece of the desert came home with me.
